Vincent Edward Scully is considered by many to be The Voice of Baseball. He began his baseball broadcasting career in 1950 with the Brooklyn Dodgers and would remain the team’s radio and television announcer for 67 seasons until his retirement in 2016. Over his career Vin Scully would win the Ford C. Frick Award, the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and be award the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

This photograph is from the final game Vin Scully called from Dodger Stadium on September 25th 2016 after the Dodgers Walk off win in the 10th inning against the Colorado Rockies. Vin Scully would address the crowd and sing a rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings” before leaving the Los Angeles Dodgers Broadcast Booth.
