Jackie Robinson, the man who broke the color barrier in professional baseball, debuted for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15th 1947. In his 10 year MLB career with The Brooklyn Dodgers, Robinson would be named the Inaugural Rookie of the Year, be a 6 time All Star, win the 1955 World Series, (the 1st World Championship for the Dodgers) as well as be awarded the MVP in 1949. His number, 42, has been retired by all Major League teams.
