During the 1955 season the Brooklyn Dodgers would win 98 games, lead by catcher Roy Campanella who would win his 3 MVP in 5 years, Duke Snider who lead the league in RBIs and was second in MVP voting, and pitching rotation would be anchored by Don Newcombe. In 1955 the Brooklyn Dodgers would win the team 1st World Series, defeating the New York Yankees in 7 games.
